National Company for Tubes and Flat Products Transformation
Industrial expertise built over decades
Historically, the company was established in 1959 and consisted of two companies: SOTUBAL (Société des Tubes d’Algérie), now PTS Unit, and ALTUMEC (Algérienne des Tubes et de Construction Mécaniques), now ALTUMET Unit.
These two companies became subsidiaries of SNS in 1968 and remained so until 1983.
Creation of the National Company for Tubes and Flat Products Transformation
The National Company for Tubes and Flat Products Transformation "EPE ANABIB Spa", resulting from the organic restructuring of the National Steel Company (SNS), was established in 1983.
It is organized as an EPE/Spa with a share capital of 10,630,280,000 DZD, wholly owned on behalf of the State by SNS Holding.

Algerian Metal Tubes
ALTUMET Unit is located on National Road No. 05, Réghaia Industrial Zone – 16112 Algiers, and covers an area of 50,063 m².
It specializes in the manufacture of spiral "SAW" welded steel tubes intended for pipelines transporting hydrocarbons and gas, water supply systems and steel structures.
Its products comply in particular with the API 5L and NF EN 10224 standards and specifications.
The external coating of the tubes is carried out using a three-layer polyethylene coating system in accordance with ISO 21809-1. The internal coating is applied using ISO 15741 epoxy paint for gas applications or NF EN 10339 for applications involving food-grade water.
The unit is certified API Q1 (equivalent to ISO 9001) and holds a license allowing it to affix the API 5L monogram to its products. It also has a laboratory accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025, ensuring the reliability and conformity of its tests and inspections.
Production Range
- Tubes: diameter from 16" (406.4 mm) to 36" (914 mm), thickness from 6.5 to 15.9 mm; soon up to a diameter of 48" (1200 mm), thickness 22.22 mm.
- Services: three-layer external polyethylene coating and internal epoxy coating.
Cold-Formed Sections
PAF Unit is located in the Réghaia Industrial Zone and covers an area of 150,669 m².
It specializes in the manufacture of cold-formed sections, longitudinally welded tubes, metal safety guardrails, telecommunication towers and metal storage racks.
Production Range
- Angles from 15 to 250 mm, thickness from 0.60 to 8 mm.
- Round tubes with diameters from 114 to 168 mm, thickness from 3.6 to 6.3 mm.
- All sections within developed dimensions ranging from 27 to 650 mm and thicknesses from 0.6 to 8 mm.
- Services: slitting, epoxy coating and various shaping and forming works.
Tubes and Sprinkler Irrigation Equipment
IRRAGRIS Unit is located in the Bordj Bou Arreridj Industrial Zone and covers an area of 95,512 m².
It specializes in the manufacture and marketing of irrigation systems (PIVOTS) and is certified according to ISO 9001:2015.
Production Range
- Irrigation pivots from 1 to 50 ha.
- Tunnel-type agricultural greenhouses of 400 m².
Services
- Hot-dip galvanizing of steel products.
- Slitting of steel coils.
- Plasma cutting.
Small Welded Tubes
PTS Unit is located in the Réghaia Industrial Zone and covers an area of 63,535 m².
It specializes in the manufacture of longitudinally welded steel tubes intended for fluid transportation pipelines and steel structures.
Production Range
- Round steel tubes: diameter from 219 to 900 mm, thickness from 3.5 to 12 mm.
- Tubes with diameters from 16 to 88.9 mm, thickness from 1.0 to 3.2 mm.
- Square tubes from 16 × 16 to 70 × 70 mm.
- Rectangular tubes from 30 × 20 to 80 × 60 mm.
Services
- Slitting of steel coils.
Small Tubes and Profiled Sheets
PTTP Unit is located in the Hassi Ameur Industrial Zone in Oran and covers an area of 70,000 m².
It specializes in the manufacture of longitudinally welded steel tubes, flat sheets and profiled sheets.
Production Range
- Round, square and rectangular tubes with diameters from 16 to 88.9 mm and thicknesses from 1 to 3.6 mm.
- Ribbed or corrugated galvanized sheets, width 714 or 836 mm, thickness from 0.5 to 1 mm.
- Tunnel-type agricultural greenhouses of 400 m².
